It’s that time of year again when we offer a discount on our family tree service!
If you are looking to have a family tree researched for yourself, or for a loved one to make a beautiful gift, our ‘Cò Leis Thu?’ genealogy service will provide everything you need, including a printed family tree, which looks great in a frame, and a set of extended genealogical notes on each ancestral line of the family.
Did your ancestors have relations that emigrated to the other side of the world? Were any of them involved in the French Revolutionary Wars? Perhaps they had a run-in with Mac an t-Srònaich! Or were they involved in anti-establishment riots when islanders were denied rights to their own land?
Our genealogy service combines information gathered from official government, church and estate records, as well as from oral tradition gathered by Bill Lawson and his wife Chris over sixty years, to provide a comprehensive history of your family lineage usually going back to the mid- to late-1700s. Additional research is carried out by our resident genealogist Angus MacLean.
We are offering 10% off our 6-generation and 7-generation family trees (usually £200 and £300), perfect for displaying the family history of anyone born in the Western Isles in the 20th century. This is generally the period for which our records allow us to provide the most detailed and comprehensive family trees.
Get in touch with us to find out which package would suit you best. The 10% discount applies to orders received by 20th November, and orders placed by that date should be ready in time for Christmas delivery, so order early!
Looking for something different? We also offer 4-generation and 5-generation family trees, as well as research time for those seeking answers to specific family history questions. Our online bookshop also stocks a range of publications covering Hebridean genealogy and local history.
