It’s been a busy few weeks on site since Lewis Builders officially commenced work on 15th September.
A great deal of progress has already been made. The first phase of work has included setting up the site, locating existing underground services, clearing vegetation and topsoil, excavating rock, and beginning the strip-out of the existing building. We’re pleased to report that work is progressing as planned.
Over the coming weeks, work will focus on underground drainage and preparing foundations for the new annex and extension buildings. Imported stone will also be brought onto site to build up levels ready for the next phase of construction, while strip-out works continue within the existing building.
While much of this work is taking place below ground or behind the scenes, these early stages are crucial in laying the foundations for the transformation ahead. We’re looking forward to sharing more visible progress as the project develops over the months to come.
Construction is expected to continue through 2027, with completion anticipated in Spring 2028. There is still a long way to go, but we’ll be sharing regular updates along the way and look forward to showing you how the project develops over the months ahead.
